The aim of our book series Children – City – Architecture is to present the theory, methodology, and practical application opportunities of built environment education to a professional audience. The series contains scientific and popular science publications with a practical approach, which offer help and inspiration to teachers, educators, architects, designers, youth workers and anyone interested in planning architecture-themed activities for children, or building something with, or for, children.
The first volume of the series, Children’s Views – Urban Planning and Architecture for, and with, Children, gives a comprehensive picture of the international practice of built environment education.
The second volume, Built Environment Education, complements the first one by presenting the Hungary-specific aspects of the field, including its local history, scope, and the ways its methods can be implemented in our country.
The third volume, Built Environment Education in the Kindergarten, discusses the practical applications of the pedagogical field in pre-school education, presenting to the reader both the theoretical framework and a practical guide.
