In 2012 we started a competition TÉR-KÉP, a mock up competition for primary and secondary school children in cooperation with the Museum of Contemporary Art. Applicants needed to reflect on a public square in close proximity of their neighborhood and they visualized suggested changes on mock up. We received many work from all over the country – hundreds of kindergarten, primary and secondary school children had thought on reshaping their neighborhood. Some of the groups chose suburban railway stop for renovation and proposed adding various community spaces to it. While others decided to paint their schoolyard colorful, or rethought the functions of the main square of the city to provide more leisure activities.
The competition was connected with the space maker exhibition of the 13th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice and 50 mock ups were exhibited in the Hungarian pavilion of the expo.
